Hi. Can anyone recomend a good bowl of soup flying game? Does'nt have to be planes trains or automobiles. I prefer taking it up the ass games that are somewhat realistic, but not too much. Something that can be played without much training Tannks

IL2 is very realistic and easy to fly without being arcadey. The planes have a feel of simplicity but whats also great is that all the planes have different characters to them. Highly recommended, the latest version is "IL2 1946". Dogfighting is awesome and there are hundreds of excellent co-op missions out there.
I also have been playing Lock On, the learning curve is much steeper than in IL2 due to the fact that the planes are much more sophisticated. Dogfighting isn't as much fun as in IL2 due to the fact it's all about missiles mainly. On a plus point the planes are far faster and versatile which makes flying them great fun. Not that IL2 isn't any less fun, but it's the same as driving a 40 year old sports car and a 1 year old sports car.
Flight Sim X, I was quiet disapointed when I tried this but it does have a charm, it's a complete machine hog too. It's co-op but I've yet to try it out, although I'm not sure if it's in the deluxe pack only, I have standard. I know you can't control the control tower without the deluxe pack so I'm not sure about shared thingypits.
Other flight sims I've not tried, Wings over Vietnam or Europe HAWX has been mentioned. No new helicopter sims that I can think of but Commanche was ok in the day (not sure if co-op)...space flight sims, again thin on the ground co-op....a new version of X-Wing would be awesome mind.
With regards to co-op, there's nothing more satisfying than everyone surviving and landing, even if you didn't hit the target just the effort of trying and surviving it something memorable.
